I've included an extras page, despite not having a great deal to fill it with, because I always like to look at them on other people's sites. Hopefully I'll add more content as time goes by.

How Doormat Picnic is drawn

Here is a step-by-step guide to how I produce the comic. My methods aren't wildly different to anyone else's but hopefully it will interest somebody.

Old comics

Doormat Picnic is not my first attempt at creating a webcomic. My previous efforts aren't that great, hence their abandonment, but rather than let them go to waste I thought I'd share some of the better ones here. There are several others that are much worse! None of the comics below ever made it online until now.

Failed comic # 1 - A lazy comic about aliens
Failed comic # 2 - A lazy comic about humans
Failed comic # 3 - Live action!
Failed comic # 4 - Squareheads
Failed comic # 5 - Certain Doom

Most of these links are already on the front page but here's a bit more information about why you should follow them.

Comics
Scary Go Round - Mad genius. The thinking reader's choice.
Octopus Pie - Envy takes a nibble out of me every time I look at this comic.
Diesel Sweeties - Sharp scripts and pixel power.
Kick in the Head - Consistenly entertaining observations, even though he flunked art.
Questionable Content - Read the entire archive if you've got a few months to spare.
XKCD - No one should be allowed to get away with a stick man cartoon strip. And yet...
Local Girl - No longer updated, but the archives hold some of the funniest comics I've seen.
Local Girl's Day in Pictures - A visual diary. This one does get updated.
Kate Beaton - Very funny and very clever. One could wish for no more.

Not comics
Online Comics - Portal for other webcomics.
Ariane Sherine - She is my friend and she writes to entertain us!
Dani Draws - Excellent site for aspiring artists.
Bittbox - Lots of free Photoshop and Illustrator tips and brushes.
