I have some proper news for a change - but not good news. As of now Doormat Picnic will be on hiatus for an indefinite period. It may never return. It really isn't working on any sort of level for me and to keep churning out strips for the sake of a very small (but nonetheless appreciated) audience would be hugely uninspiring to all concerned. I considered jacking it in a month ago and was persuaded to continue, but things have not improved and it has merely cemented my initial doubts. I'm reluctant to dramatically announce that it's over because perhaps a break will restore my enthusiasm, but I won't know until I step back.
